Ride for life challenge!
Who? Everyone that wants to make their health a top priority.
What? A global challenge to bike into better health.
Where? Worldwide, wherever you are.
Why? Riding can be medicinal while boosting your cardio and toning your body.
When? Now. Start right now!
How? Weekly distance goals; beginner 10KM, intermediate 20KM, advanced 50KM
Our suggestions:
1. Week One: time each ride. Add up the total minutes for each ride that it took to cover the total distance. Example (if beginner): if you broke up your 10KM challenge into two rides, time each ride. If ride one covered 5KM and took you 30 minutes and ride two covered 5KM and took you 28 minutes then your total 10KM challenge took 58 minutes. This number is now your starting point. Take as many sessions as you need to cover the distance. Your only competition is yourself!
2. Feel free to mark a few other starting points (during week one) such as a. weight b. max push ups c. max pull ups d. max sit ups e. max squats (using your bike as the weight) and f. best effort for a 200M run!
3. Update the above challenge log at the end of month one, month three, month six and month 12
4. If you want to share your journey to better health with the global Bike Is Life community, record short (less than :30) videos along the way. We will feature them along with where you are riding! We will get the honor to visit homelands while cheering each other on! Share your journey here
